Great heater!
This heater is perfect for my bedroom. I love that it comes with a remote, you can silence the beeping noise when you push the buttons, it runs super quiet, has a thermostat setting so isn’t on unless it needs to be. Very easy to use and it works great. Great price for the quality. Highly recommend.

Workhorse
This is the best space heater I’ve owned, hands down. It’s an absolute workhorse, and easily heats an entire small room.I run it all throughout the night most nights for a room in my house that gets much colder than other rooms, as it houses my guitars and other musical gear. This heater allows me to keep the temp relatively stable to avoid warping the necks on my guitars. I love that you can program the temperature you want and once it reaches that temp it shuts off, but automatically turns back on once the temp gets cooler than the set temp. So, there can be a lot of shutting off/turning back on happening but when you’re in the room with it you don’t really notice it. It’s very quiet (another feature that’s absent most space heaters.)You can also program it to only run for a certain amount of time. No weird smells. It’s solid, so there’s no anxiety about it falling over or anything. And it feels like you could drop it off a balcony and it wouldn’t take much damage. This thing is perfect.

Small and Powerful Heater
I have this for almost a month and I love it. It really works and it heats up my studio apartment by itself which really surprised me. I like the little remote it’s very handy when it’s too cold to leave my covers. I also like that it’s somewhat automatic it cuts off when it reaches the desired temperature. I like this feature but if you want something that will always stay on then don’t get this. It’s small lightweight and powerful.

Excellent space heater
So I’m old school and in my 60’s. I have a space heater in my bathroom for comfort. My old blowing heater died and I ordered a new one, same kind. Well that blew smoke out of it and was returned. It took me to looking for a better design and WOW; LOVE THIS HEATER!It emits warmth instead of blowing. 100% quiet.Heats a small room fast and confident it could heat an entire bedroom or any room for that matter. It’s weird to be impressed with a space heater but I am and you will too. Beautiful design, ease in operation, remote awesome. Great product!

Small but mighty!!
The heater itself kicks butt!! Really puts out. The 3 things I would change…. You can only set it by temperature in ECO mode. The fan runs slower. I find myself putting it high mode then switching back.. Another thing is the remote. The functions are fine. But it’s black on black with no backlighting. Impossible to see in low light, and forget about using it in a dark bedroom. And last but not least.. Would have been even better with an oscillating feature. Other than a couple of annoyances, this is a great heater.

Ridiculously Good Space Heater In a Tiny Package.
Man, I can’t recommend this thing enough. My building has a problem with the heat. It runs, so nobody dies and the pipes don’t freeze, but that’s about it. I have layers and flannel lined jeans and stuff, but my hands are still cold, and when you sit somewhere for 8 hours, the cold seeps through multiple layers. We aren’t really supposed to have space heaters, and I didn’t want to spend much money on something I was going to leave at work and might only need for a short period of time. (I mean, they are working on the heat. I’m sure it will be fixed someday.) So, I bought this tiny little space heater on special. My plan was to stick it under my desk where no one could see it and just take the edge off the cold. That didn’t really work out. This thing pushes out heat. I don’t just mean it gets hot. It does, but whatever it does also moves that heat around. There’s a fan. It doesn’t really seem to blow much air, but man, it circulates that heat. I got delusions of grandeur and I moved it to the plugin in the corner under the window and aimed it diagonally across my office. Sure enough, I could make the whole space warmer. It’s like 15′ x 10′ with a weird curved wall on one side. The little heater lets you do different settings. I didn’t read the manual or anything but I got the gist of the digital numbers on the front. If I set it to 74 degrees, my office is 74 degrees and not slowly either. In like 5 minutes the whole office. If I set to 78 it’s 78. I decided to mess around and put the thing on 90. It was so hot I was sweating. I could make that thing a sauna if I wanted to. And it just sits there. Quiet. Tiny. You wouldn’t even know it was there if you didn’t go looking for it because there was a 20 degree difference when you walked through the doorway. When somebody complained about it getting left on overnight and wasting electricity or catching on fire, I showed them the timer I set every morning to ensure it was safely turned off as soon as my feet hit the parking lot. I have people come by asking me what kind it is because they can feel the heat as they walk by in the hallway or they heard about it. Others have heaters that work just as well, but they are like 4 feet tall and then twist back and forth and sound like a big fan in the corner. The space around the heater gets hot but there are cold spots. Weaksauce. I’ve had it for just about 3 months now with no issues. Seriously. This was a total accident. I bought this to me a temporary, disposable, make do, solution to a cold office and it turned out to be an awesome find. Get one. I’ve got two more on order. I want to try one in my uninsulated garage. I think it will win.

Nice compact unit that works great
I’m impressed with the unit. We bought this for our SWFL home to just take the edge off of the sporadic cold snaps that come through Florida late in the year and early January. It’s not worth turning on the furnace and heating the whole house and this little unit does a nice job raising the temperature in a very large bedroom to a very comfortable temperature. We just got it, so still playing with settings but I have to say that it does very well. Quiet and automatic when you set a temperature. The size is perfect. The only thing that I would say that would make this unit better if it would display the actual temperature of the room as it is bringing the room to temperature.

Really nice and definitely worth the price, keeps my room heated well. has so many different settings and heats up fast. Small and practical so it isn’t ruining the look of my room, just really nice overall.

More like a 4.9 star, but close enough.
I’ve purchased and tested several small, 1500 watt heaters recently, and am posting mostly the same review with all four of them.To my surprise the Lasko Ellipse was my *least* favorite. I wanted the Lasko to be the best, since it has the best warranty of those I tested (3 years vs 1 year), but I really didn’t like the way it operated, so much that I returned it.Overall, the three Dreo models and the Lasko performed very similarly, with the Lasko being *slightly* louder, but still what I would be considered to be quiet – much quieter than my older Amazon Basics heater and a couple of other older, analog-control heaters. My problem was with the controls on the Lasko:• If you turn it off, it always comes on in the highest (H3) mode, not the last-used mode (i.e. Eco mode, which is the only thermostatically controlled mode). In comparison, the Dreo’s not only remember when powered off, they remember if they lose power / are unplugged.• Because it starts in the highest mode, that is a surge of power (potentially over 1875 watts briefly).• It consumes the most power when off (1.1 watts). On the other hand, it’s the only one of the 4 I tested with illuminated buttons, which dim so you can still see them in the dark to turn the heater on, etc.Possibly a small plus for Lasko is that the oscillation is a little faster than the Dreo.As for ALL of the digital temperature control models I tried, the all have these issues:• ALL use considerable power (near 1000 W) even at their lowest (H1) setting. At that setting it puts out a lot of heat. For some that may be good, but for one of the applications I had in mind, which was near my feet in my office, it’s simply too much heat. It’s fine if you’re at least several feet away from the heater, but not when too near..• NONE allow you to use the thermostat only at the lowest (i.e. H1) setting. H1, H2, H3 are all CONSTANT ON heat. “Eco” mode is when the thermostat comes into play. They do seem to reduce the power used (to produce less heat) as it nears the threshold you set for it to turn off. This does seem to work well on all models.• NONE seem to have an accurate thermostat, HOWEVER they’re accurate “enough”. For example, if you want it 70, you might need to set it for 73, but that’s not a big deal to me. I just adjust to whatever is comfortable, and let it take it from there. Also, they all have what I believe is a reasonable amount of hysteresis, where they allow the temperature to fluctuate between a bit above to a bit below the set-temperature, much like your home thermostat does. If you’re expecting it to maintain a perfectly constant temperature, good luck finding anything that will do that. (Comparing them to the much less expensive, older, analog Amazon Basics model I have, all of these digital models have less temperature swing.)I would consider all 4 tested models to be quiet. When in the thermostatically controlled mode, they all seem to speed up the fan (and crank up the heat) if the set temperature is well above the room temperature, then slow the fan down (and crank out less heat) as the room temperature approaches the set temperature. This Dreo model is the only one without oscillation that I bought. I don’t need that where I intend to use it. I was, however, hoping that on its lowest setting it wouldn’t put out so much heat, because I wanted to use it under my desk. As a result, I need to have it further away. I really wish they’d allow these to put out less heat, but it seems to be a common trait across all the digitally controlled heaters.Notable features of each heater:Lasko Ellipse CD12950• Oscillating• Illuminated top control buttons, which remain on (but dim after a brief period)• Control lock (great if you have toddlers or pets)• 2 fan-only speeds• Timer has 30-minute increments (vs. 1hr on others)• Does NOT remember last state when powered off and back on! (Always powers on to H3. This was my main reason for returning it.)• Single button to cycle through H3, H2, H1, eco (thermostat), F2, F1 modes, +/- button to change temperature setting when in that mode.• I do not recall if front display stays on bright, dims or turns off after awhile, and I’ve already sent it back so I cannot check.Dreo Atom 316 DR-HSH006 (THIS ITEM)• Round design is somewhat unique.• Control lock (great if you have toddlers or pets)• Powers on to last mode.• Single button to cycle between H (always on), “eco” (thermostat controlled) and fan-only, with +/- buttons to change temperature in eco mode or cycle between H3, H2, H1 when in always-on mode.• Front panel (temperature setting, H1,H2,etc.) is always on and bright when heater is on. This may be bad for some if intended use is in a bedroom.• Least expensive of the 4 I bought.Dreo Atom One DR-HSH004• Oscillating• Electrostatic filter (see photo), which is easily removable for cleaning. IMO, all heaters should have this to keep out dust and extend their lifespan.• No control lock!• Powers on to last mode.• Single button to cycle between H (always on), “eco” (thermostat controlled) and fan-only, with +/- buttons to change temperature in eco mode or cycle between H3, H2, H1 when in always-on mode.• Front panel (temperature setting, H1,H2,etc.) turns off after 1 minute, leaving a tiny white icon indicating either fan, “eco” or constant-on, and a tiny red icon indicating the heater is plugged in.Dreo Quiet Space DR-HSH007• Oscillating• Control lock (great if you have toddlers or pets)• Can turn off beep (so is silent when pressing controls)• Single button to cycle between H3, H2, H1, Fan modes, while touching the +/- buttons switches to eco mode or adjusts temperature while in eco mode.• Front panel (temperature setting, H1,H2,etc.) turns off after 1 minute, leaving a tiny white icon indicating either fan, “eco” or constant-on, and a tiny red icon indicating the heater is plugged in.Of the Dreo models, I’d have to say my least favorite is the round Dreo DR-HSH006. Since I’ve only used it to test it, I may send it back and get another Dreo DR-HSH004 if it goes on sale again before my return window closes, even though it’s a bit more expensive since it oscillates. I definitely like that the DR-HSH-004 has an electrostatic filter to keep dust from being sucked through it and that the display mostly turns off after a minute, unlike the DR-HSH006 Aesthetically, however, IMO, the round DR-HSH006 is a little nicer looking.I’m attaching a picture showing the power consumption of each, which I measured with a Kill-a-watt meter. The chart also includes an older analog model just as a reference.

Great company, issue resolved
UPDATE: The company responded within two days, offering a replacement. Their quick response and offering a replacement is pretty rare, these days.(Email I sent with details of malfunction at the bottom. I went from 4 stars to 2, back to 4.)I found a fix. There is a way to truly reset/reboot the heater, in case you need to. (It’s not listed in the manual, that I noticed.)–> Hold the + and – buttons down, simultaneously. – It will countdown from 3 and reboot. – When it does, it will automatically restart in H2 mode. If you’re using eco mode, be sure sure to select it and set your preferred temperature again. They responded to my email, about the issue, in two days.I responded and told them about the reboot that I found and it’s working again.A few days later, they emailed me to check up. Awesome customer service! They’re still offering me an updated version. I’ve accepted their offer.I don’t feel this heater will malfunction to the point where a reboot won’t work anymore. (I only had to reboot once.) But if it did, then my baby’s room will be cold until I received a new order. That’s why I accepted their offer of an updated version. It’ll be nice to have one on hand, just in case.I’m very impressed with their focus on customer satisfaction and how quickly they responded. It’s obvious that they want to make sure each product is in perfect working condition. If one is not, they go out of their way to remedy the issue.Side note: That type of customer service seems like a common sense business practice: Good for the company, great for the consumer. Yet, how often have you had contact with a company that cares about its products working properly, as well as their customers’ satisfaction?Dreo is an example of how every manufacturer/seller should respond.______Initial Review:I liked this heater enough to keep it and give it 4 stars. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because, in Eco mode, when it reaches my set temperature, it doesn’t continue blowing unheated air. It does start heating again when the room’s ambient temp goes a degree or two below the set temp.Personally, I prefer it to blow unheated air, in between heating. It helps with air circulation and creates white noise while my baby sleeps.Having two Eco options would be ideal. Once heated temp is reached: Option to stop blowing completely and save electricity and an option continue blowing unheated air. This would cover every consumer’s preference, on the matter. The other settings blow continuous heat with a low, medium, or high setting (H1, H2, H3). I have no use for that much heat in Arizona, ever. LolFor those who would use H1/2/3 settings, it would be nice if the actual temperatures were stated, even though it’s continuous. For example, H1 continuously blows 78⁰, H2 82⁰… Then, consumers would know what temperature to expect, instead of having to test to find out which is best through trial and error.______Our previous heater was a different brand. It was oscillating and continued blowing unheated air once it reached the set temperature. I loved those options. We got this Dreo because the previous brand’s oscillation started making a grinding noise after about a year. It got louder even with the oscillation turned off. I mean, “Aaaaaa TURN THAT OFF!” type of loud grinding.______Aug 9th, 2025. This is the email I initially sent to Dreo:I bought my Dreo heater model DR-HSH006 from Amazon on Feb 8, 2025.I only use Eco mode. (My baby’s room is colder than the rest of the house.)Initially, it worked the way it is supposed to (in eco mode). It shut off the heat when it reached the set temperature, then started heating again when the temperature was low enough for it to turn back on.For the past two months, or more, I’ve walked in and it’s freezing in her room because the heater turned off completely. (Red light on the LED, showing the power was not on.) I have no idea when it turns off. This heater worked correctly for four months, or less.I have consistently followed the cleaning instructions in the manual. I tried different outlets and it’s sitting on a hard surface (as opposed to carpeting). I have tried everything. Yet, it continues to power off.As I stated above, I’m not referring to the point when it stops producing heat once it reaches the set temperature. I have to physically press the power button to turn it back on.She wakes up from nightmares when she’s too cold. Hence, the need for the heater. In other words, it’s necessary, not a preference.I had to start making sure that I unplugged and plugged it back in before every nap and every night, at bedtime.Currently, I unplug it for about 10 seconds and plug it back in. That seemed to work… for a little while. Now, it will randomly power off long before she wakes up. (Sometimes in less than 90 minutes and sometimes, at some point, in under 10 hours.)I would like to add that we don’t have any electrical problems in our home; it was built in 2005. We’ve checked every outlet with multimeter and they’re all perfect. We don’t have any animals. It has never left her room. There is no external reason for this to happen. It must be faulty, internally.- Great response from Dreo and checking in afterward, as well.
